As part of the follow-up on the implementation progress of the Public Institutions Energy Transition Program, Mr. Fethi Hanchi, Director General of the National Agency for Energy Conservation (ANME), conducted a field visit on Monday, July 14, 2025, to the photovoltaic power station installed at the headquarters of the Ministry of Equipment and Housing in Tunis. He was accompanied by Mr. Nafaa Baccari, project manager, and a team of technical staff.

👥 The visit was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Equipment and Housing, the implementing company, and the technical control office responsible for monitoring service quality and compliance with technical standards.

⚡ The photovoltaic station, installed on the rooftop of the ministry's main building, has a capacity of 165 kW and is expected to reduce the ministry’s annual electricity consumption by approximately 35%.

☀️ This station is one of 12 photovoltaic units implemented for regional departments under the Ministry of Equipment and Housing across 9 governorates, with a total capacity of about 0.5 MW and an estimated cost of 1.9 million dinars.

🌱 The TEEP project is one of the leading public sector energy transition programs. It covers 373 public institutions under various ministries and public bodies, with a total capacity of 39 MW and a global budget of around 210 million dinars. In addition to solar energy production units, the project also includes energy efficiency measures in air conditioning and lighting, as well as the installation of real-time consumption monitoring systems.
